KVC Rules & Guidelines – Please read carefully:MEMBERSHIP CARD: Please carefully read each merchant offering posted on the Kern Value Card website before presenting your membership card and before you make your purchase. Merchant offers may change from time to time without notice. Please note that KVC updates our website daily.Please do not share your membership card, as it is non-transferable. Please do not present an expired membership card to participating merchants, as it will not be honored. You must have your membership card in your possession and present it in person to the merchant to receive your discount. Some discounts require you to show your KVC membership card and present it along with a printable coupon. You must present your membership card before the bill has been totaled.TIPPING: Tips for restaurant service should equal 15% to 20% of the total food check before the applicable discount. Please remember that restaurant employees depend on service tips for a large portion of their income.DINING OUT: When two or more people dine together, the following rules apply:
a) No separate checks are allowed. Only one discount per membership card, per table. There will be one bill for the table.
b) Present your membership card when seated and before the bill has been totaled.
c) TWO FOR ONE DINING (Buy One, Get One offers) –When ordering two or more main course entrees or items, restaurant will deduct price of least expensive main course entree or item.
d) If offer states 50% off, receive 50% off entree or item of lesser value.HOLIDAYS: All major holidays (including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, St. Patrick’s Day, etc.) are excluded unless merchant states otherwise.OTHER DISCOUNT OFFERS: KVC membership may not be used in combination with other discounts, sales, promotions or coupons offered by the merchant. Food combo offers (combo meals) may be excluded by the merchant. There are no discounts on alcoholic beverages.NON-LIABILITY: Kern Value Card and its agents or employees will not be responsible if any merchant breaches its contract with KVC or refuses to honor the terms of any benefit. Kern Value Card will, however, attempt to secure such compliance. Kern Value Card reserves the right to eliminate participating businesses based on their performance and compliance with the KVC merchant agreement. Kern Value Card shall have no liability to any member as a seller of any products or services, including any liability for those goods and services provided by participating businesses. KVC stipulates that you (the member) enter participating businesses at your own risk. Kern Value Card assumes no liability for bodily injury or property damage from any accident, mishap, miscommunication or mistake on the part of any participating business. Kern Value Card shall not be liable and cannot verify the condition or safety of any participating business. Kern Value Card and its agents shall be held harmless resulting from the acts or omissions of any participating business. Kern Value Card’s liability in all circumstances to a member is limited to the amount paid for the membership. Kern Value Card or its agents shall be held harmless for errors or omissions on the KVC website.AVAILABILITY OF DISCOUNTS: Discounts for goods and services are subject to their availability by the participating businesses. If goods or services are not available to the member, Kern Value Card is not responsible for any refund due to the member.KVC RECOMMENDATION: Kern Value Card cannot guarantee the reliability or legitimacy of any business participating in the KVC program. KVC is not responsible for the claims of any business participating in the KVC program.
