Festival of Human Abilities
Saturday & Sunday, January 28-29, 2023
Join the Aquarium of the Pacific for its twentieth annual Festival of Human Abilities, a celebration highlighting the creative talents and abilities of people with disabilities. The event will feature wheelchair dance, live music, and art demonstrations. Participate in free classes led by people who have disabilities. Sign language interpreters will be present at all major shows, and an audio tour and a visitor guide in Braille are available for those who are blind.
African-American Festival
Saturday & Sunday, February 25-26, 2023
Join the Aquarium of the Pacific as it hosts its twenty-first annual African–American Festival, celebrating the rich diversity of African-American and African cultures. The weekend will feature live entertainment and arts and crafts. Festival performers include Mardi Gras second line dancers, hip hop and break dancers, jazz musicians, interactive drum circles, West African dancers, and storytellers.
International Children’s Festival
Saturday & Sunday, March 18-19, 2023
The Aquarium of the Pacific’s eighteenth International Children’s Festival is a special festival for kids. Celebrating the amazing talents of children of numerous cultures, this festival features West African, Mexican, Pacific Islander, Cambodian, Chinese, Persian, Irish, Slovak, and Czech dance performances. Enjoy performances by a children’s choir and martial arts demonstrations. Kids of all ages can partake in an international percussion circle and American Indian and Pacific Islander traditional children’s crafts and games. The Aquarium will also honor a local youth with its annual Young Hero Award in recognition of their efforts to make our planet a better place.
Earth Day & Teen Climate Fest

Celebrate the future of sustainability at Teen Climate Fest on Earth Day! This event for the whole family is inspired by young leaders who created a collaborative event for our twenty first annual Earth Day. From the Trashin’ Fashion contest to activities and everyday tips to help our blue planet, joining the Teen Climate Fest on Earth Day will energize you and empower you to make a difference in your community.
